 | Nationals Galan Down with Injury Wednesday, April 28th, 1937: The Nationals received bad news this morning. Augie Galan will miss 3 months due to a fractured finger. In the Washington-Chicago (A) game he sustained the injury while colliding with a player at a base. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Galan sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery."
Galan on the season is hitting .233 with 4 home runs. His stats include 8 RBIs and 20 runs scored. | |
